A midnight showing at the Monarch Theater lets out. A young boy and his parents can be seen exiting the theater. They could also be seen laughing and smiling as the father reaches into the bag of popcorn that his son is carrying. They take a turn down a dark alleyway.

The mood changes when a man steps from out of the shadows. The family discovers that they are surrounded by the man’s thugs.

One of the men steps in to grab the woman’s peril necklace. As the father reaches for the man’s arm, the peril necklace breaks. A gunshot rings throughout the alley.

The woman’s echoed scream is cut short by a second gunshot. Pieces of popcorn along with the perils hit the cold pavement as the child stands there over the bodies of his dead parents.

The lead thug steps closer to the boy as the shadows recede revealing his face. His gun is now aimed at the boy. That’s when he poses his question:

β€œTell me something kid. Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?”

He laughs as he thumbs back the hammer. But before he could fire, he is interrupted by his cohort. He is yelling at him to go. The cops are on their way. The scene ends with the man disappearing back into the darkness, but not before telling the kid that he would see him around.

The Batsuit protects Bruce from the gunfire of common street thugs. The suit can easily defend its wearer from multiple point-blank gunshots, although the force of the impact still knocks the wearer off their feet. It not only protects Batman from physical attacks, but also injures the person who attempts to physically attack him in the process.

Other armored points are the gauntlets, which can be used to deflect bullets away from the wearer or to protect the wearer from severe melee strikes and the shin guards posses similar capabilities. The cape, is textured to resemble bat wings. It can also be unfurled to give the silhouette of a giant bat that completes the "Batman" effect.

The Utility Belt was built to carry a majority of Batman's crime fighting equipment during missions. It is used to store various tools around the rear side. There are four capsules placed at sides of the torso, containing smoke bombs. The Utility Belt has a motorized track that was used for shifting equipment from the rear of the belt to the front.

The Batmobile is Batman’s primary mode of transportation. Built upon a reinforced chassis, it is an armored vehicle that has basically been built around a turnbine jet engine.

Statistics:

-Acceleration: 0-60 in 3.7 seconds
-Maximum Speed: 530 km/h with booster
-Engine: Jet Turbine
-Fuel: High octane; 97% special (gasoline paraffin mixture)
-Torque: 1750 lbf.ft at 98.7% ROS
-Wheelbase: 141.0 in
-Wheels: Cast alloy, 15 x 6.5
-Tires: High aspect L60-15
-Two-seat cockpit that featured aircraft-like instrumentation, a passenger's side monitor, self-diagnostics system, CD recorder, and voice-command operation and recognition system.

Armament:

-Side-mounted grappling hook launchers, disc projectile launchers and bomb dispensers.
-Side chassis-mounted shin-breakers.
-A central "foot" underneath the vehicle that was capable of lifting the car and rotating it 180Β°.
-Armour plated body with an additional "Cocoon" of heavy armor capable of being deployed while vehicle was stationary (dubbed "Cocoon-mode").
-Rear oil slick dispensers and smoke emitters.
-Two forward mounted Browning M1919 .30 caliber machine guns.
-Exhaust after-burner.
-An emergency "Batmissile" mode that shed all material outside of the central fuselage and reconfigured the wheels and axles to fit through narrow openings. Once employed, the mode essentially destroys the car's exterior, and it requires rebuilding afterwards.
-Mounted dual-missile launchers.
